In the Lucas Lab we endeavor to do ground-breaking science and create a psychologically safe work environment.
We can take risks when we feel safe to speak up. To say the “silly” idea that could lead to a new direction. To bring our full selves to work. To criticize the science without criticizing the person.
Everyone in the lab carries the responsibility to create an environment of respect where we all feel safe to speak up without fear of negative judgement or retaliation.
Let’s work together
Interested in joining the Lucas Lab?
Postdoc Applicants
We accept applications for postdoctoral fellows on a rolling basis. Email Bronwyn with your CV, a description of why you are interested in joining our lab and a proposal for the kind of project you could see us working on together. You will not be held to this project, but as a postdoc, you are learning how to direct your own research program. We want to get a sense of how you think and what science excites you!
If we decide to work together, I will write letters and help you prepare applications for postdoctoral fellowships.
Graduate Students
Dr. Lucas accepts students from the following Ph.D. programs. Please apply to the program that most closely aligns with your interests. Students are accepted to the lab by mutual agreement after a rotation period in the first year. We do not accept direct applicants to the lab.
Undergraduate students
Dr. Lucas occasionally accepts undergraduate students from MCB or Data Sciences to do research in the lab depending on mentoring capacity.
Dr. Lucas accepts students from the SEED Scholars Honors program.
